    Penney - Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie B. Penney, 80, of 4009 CaineLane, who died Thursday, will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon atCromwell Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Reverend LarrySmith will officiate. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. AlineHouser, Chattanooga, and Mrs. Essie Huber, Winchester, Tennessee; threesons, Sherman Penney and Chester Penney, Chattanooga, and Alton Penney,Winchester, Tennessee, and 12 grandchildren. Interment in LakewoodMemory Gardens, East. Pallbearers: J. B. Penney, Calvin Penney, GradyPenney, Evan Penney, John Couch and George Gann. The body is at theFuneral Home of J. Avery Bryan Company.

A member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the C.L.A.W.Sunday school class, he was also a member of Chattanooga Lodge 199 F&AM,Alhambra Shrine and VFW. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a U. S. Armyveteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Thelma O. Penney;daughter Annette Gosnay, Harrison, Tennessee; two sons, Gary C. and BryanC. Penney, Chattanooga; two sisters, Aline Houser, Chattanooga, EssieHuber, Winchester, Tennessee; three grandchildren; several nieces andnephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapelwith Dr. Bill Owens officiating. Burial will be in the NationalCemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgedale BaptistChurch building fund, 1831 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, 37421. Thefamily will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at ChattanoogaFuneral Home, East.
