  [S16] Obituary. Leroy Franklin Grant, 86, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Grant, parents, James and Robbie Grant and several brothers and sisters. He was a Project Supervisor with Combustion before his retirement, a member of the Soddy Masonic Lodge #418 F&AM for 50 years, a member of the Soddy-Daisy Lions Club, Former Mayor of Soddy-Daisy and a member of Soddy United Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, Steve (Jamie) Grant; daughter, Sandra (Terry) Carmack; grandchildren, Meghan (Brad) Moss and Jonathan (Neena) Carmack; great-grandchildren, Maci, Presleigh, Dagny, and Simon Moss, Alaina and Rowan Carmack; sister, Louise (Elton) Smith; several nieces, nephews and extended family; and very special friend, Cleo Grant. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Soddy United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Masonic Services held at the graveside. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Soddy Daisy Food Bank at 203 Depot Street, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379, or to Soddy United Methodist Church at 255 Depot Street, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
