Thomas W. “Bill” Millsaps, 82, of Red Bank, died on Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, in a local hospital.
Bill was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County. He was born in Daisy on March 23, 1924. Bill was a 1943 graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School, and served in the Army during World War II. He became an ordained minister in the Church of God in 1959 and had resided in Red Bank since 1969. Bill was active in ministry at Bethel Bible Village Children’s Home, the Red Bank Lions Club and Red Bank United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Bill is survived by his wife, Henrietta McWilliams Millsaps; sister, Corrine Waters; sister-in-law, Kathleen McWilliams Bowman; brother-in-law, W.H. “Buddy” McWilliams; nieces, Kathy Bowman Ross and Jeanne Bowman Overbay; and nephew, Mark McWilliams.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Rick Spell officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
