  [S16] Obituary. September 18, 1931 - February 23, 2018 John Edwin McMurray, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018. Mr. McMurray was born and raised in Chattanooga. He graduated from Central High School, was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church, and retired from TVA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Jenkins McMurray and parents, Willis and Vella McMurray. Surviving are his children, Sharan Lee, Mickey (Glen) Masengale, Clela Stevens and Clay McMurray; grandchildren, Jill Hicks, Eric Lee, Cheryl Masengale, Jason Lee, Mandy McMurray, Kelly (Ronnie) Phillips, Matthew McMurray and Nick (Erin) Stevens; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Orma Luckey. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Saturday and 2 to 3 PM on Sunday. Funeral Services will be at 3 PM on Sunday at the funeral home with Dr. Ronnie Phillips, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
