  [S16] Obituary. February 19, 1918 - December 18, 2010 Ovena Smith Cross, “Ma-Maw”, 92, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010. She was a hardworking lady and loved her family dearly. She worked as a Nurses Aid at Erlanger Hospital for fifteen years. Ovena was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her son, Marvin smith; brothers, Flay & Howard Johnson and a granddaughter, Dottie Ritchie. She is survived by her husband, Robert R. Cross; children, Betty (Archie) Milligan, Jerry (Jackie) Smith, Bart (Shirley) Smith, Joy Frizzell, Rachael Headrick, Harold “Pete” Smith, Dale (Katherine) Cross, Kenneth (Annette) Cross, Joan (Jerry) Neeley, Phyllis (Winston) Lanier; sister, Lorene Flerl; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 20, 2010 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Stewart officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
