AUGUST 4, 1938 ~ OCTOBER 4, 2019 Wavie Graham “Butch” Mills, Jr., 81, of Hixson, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 4, 2019. He was a member of Daisy Church of God. Butch retired from DuPont and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He loved woodworking and fishing. Butch was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Mills and siblings, Eugene Mills, Joe Mills, John Mills and Margaret Gasaway. Survivors are his sister, Frances Stevenson; children, Carol Long (Jeremy) and Cindy Sherlin (Randy); grandchildren, Tyler Harris (Kayleigh), Wesley Long, Kaleigh Long; great grandchildren, Jaxson Harris and McKenzie Harris; several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Caleb Bolton officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to Hearth Hospice. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
