Blanche Uren September 15, 1917 - June 6, 2010 Obituary for Blanche Uren Blanche Uren Blanche Elsea Uren, 92, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 in a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillie Gross Elsea, a pioneer family of Bakewell, and the widow of the late Raymond Uren. Her brothers, Jim Elsea and Alvin Elsea and sister, Nancy Varner, also preceded her in death. Blanche was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church since 1939. Survivors include her son, Bruce Uren of Soddy Daisy; stepdaughter, Jo Ella Penney of Hixson; grandson, Timothy Uren of Dayton; great grandson, Michael Uren of Dayton; great granddaughter, Alana Hope Uren of Dayton; niece, Lynda Burroughs; special nephews, Glenn and Carlos Uren and 3 other nephews, Rob Elsea, Ronnie Elsea and Jody Uren. Services will be Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dana Gravitt officiating. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery.
