  [S16] Obituary. June 4, 1918 - May 25, 2013 Ross J. Grant, 94, of Mowbray Mountain, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his residence. He would have been 95 on his birthday, June 4. Ross was a member of Mowbray Church of God where he served as clerk for over 30 years. He was very active in the Mowbray Community and a member of the Mowbray Lions Club and the Mowbray Community Club. He served as Commissioner of the Mowbray Utility Company and retired from the Electric Power Board. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Ross served his country in World War II in the Battle of Luzon and was awarded a Bronze Service Star, World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, AP Theatre Ribbon and Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Agnes Grant; son, Garrol Grant,; daughter, Jeanie Barebo; son-in-law, Ron Barebo; brother, Lloyd Grant and sister, Naomi Patterson. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Linda Grant; daughter and son-in-law, Karleen and Danny Williams; sisters, Ruth Gann and Louise Skiles; 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles Patterson officiating.
