  [S16] Obituary. June 1, 1925 - October 25, 2013 Beady Hackney Porter, 88, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013. She retired from Echols Furniture in 2005 at the age of 80. She loved watching the Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves while spending the day with Brian and her two pups, Phoebe and Pizzo. Beady was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Porter; son, Allen Porter and parents, Tom and Mandy Hackney and siblings, Arthur, Millard, Dick and Cleatus Hackney, Crickett Lasley, Maggie Jane Bailey, Alice Winters, Flora Wright and Geraldine Uren. Survivors include her daughters, Joy Burroughs, Janice Fowler, Patricia Jones, Connie Johnson, Debbie Hammill Loomis; son, Carl Porter all of Soddy-Daisy; sister, Lorene Posey; 21 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Calvin Nunley officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Paul Burroughs, Tim Burroughs, Tony Jones, Bubba Jones, John Loomis and Teddy Miller serving as pallbearers.
