James Larry Manning, 81, of Sale Creek, was reunited with the love of his life, Louise, on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. He was of the Baptist faith and lived in Sale Creek since 2006. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 – 1961 where he was a veteran of the Korean War and in the Army Corps of Engineers. He worked as an engineer for Michael Construction and retired from Dement. An outdoorsman, Larry was an avid gun and knife collector and skilled marksman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Dyer Manning; sons, Mark and Dale Manning; grandson, Brett Roberts; parents, Dewey and Thelma Manning and brother, Edward Manning.
Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Ken Roberts; grandchildren, Renee’ (Mark) Fuller, Debi (Wayne) Pope and Kendra Roberson; 6 great grandchildren and nephew, Terry Manning.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating. Burial to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
