  [S16] Obituary. August 26, 1946 - September 1, 2016 Brenda Sue Smith answered the call of her Savior Jesus Christ and went home on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Brenda was born August 26, 1946 and graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School. She was a seamstress by trade and worked at Signal Knitting Mill, FLR and Chattanooga group where she finally retired. Brenda was a good soul who always gave a hand up to those in need and was loved by many. She used her time well in helping anyone that called upon her. She will be missed by her family and many close and loyal friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie W. and Gertie Stewart Smith; brother, Chester Smith; nephew Edward Skiles and great nephew, Brian Dodd. Survivors include her fur babies, Gidgette, Phoebee, TT and her 5 kids (Goats), companion, Ed Leming; brother, Cecil Smith; sister, Wanda Skiles; 7 nieces and several great and great great nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
