  [S16] Obituary. October 19, 1943 - January 2, 2012 Opal Charlene Kennedy, 68, of Soddy-Daisy went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2, 2012 at her home. She was of the Church of God Faith and was a very devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Frances Watts, brother, Howard Ervin Watts. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Billy Joe Kennedy, son, Marty LaDon (Tonja) Kennedy, sister, Joyce Watts Jordan of Florida, brother, Jerry (Doris) Watts of Soddy-Daisy, several nieces and nephews, special friend, Dorothy Gregory. Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bruce Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Mrs. Kennedy’s nephews serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 4-9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
