- [S16] Obituary.
William C. Jenkins, age 51, of Nashville, Tennessee, died in a Nashville hospital Friday afternoon. He was an employee of the Tennessee Chest Hospital.
Survivors; three brothers, John T. and Edwin L. (Doc) Jenkins, both of Bakewell, Tennessee; Theodore E. Jenkins, Soddy; six sisters, Mrs. Grace Crye, California; Mrs. Charlotte Ledford, California; Mrs. John Minnis, Bakewell; Mrs. Carl Green, Bakewell, Mrs. Sallie Gardner, Mrs. Agnes Sanders, both of Cincinnati; a niece, Mrs. Roseland Card, with whom he made his home; also several other nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today from the chapel of the funeral home with the Reverend Tom Lynch officiating. Interment will follow in the Rhea Memory Gardens Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Thomas Wright, Fred Weese, George Rees Jr., Ashley Hudson, Elmer Clements and Fred Rees Skillern. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Soddy-Daisy High School Class of 1942. The body will remain at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Williamson and Son, Highway 27, Soddy-Daisy.
