- [S16] Obituary.
September 5, 1924 - July 14, 2011
Nola Potter Beavers, of Soddy-Daisy, began a homecoming celebration on Thursday, July 14, 2011. She is at home. The preparation was in the making for 56 years as she faithfully served as a minister's wife. Through those years, her character was crafted, and she became an example of a sacrificial mother and an honorable wife. If a theme could be attached to her life, it would be that SHE LOVED. She loved more than anything else. She loved with all her heart. She loved everyone she believed in … SHE LOVED. Her family awaits the invitation to participate in the homecoming events.
She was born a twin in Dayton, Tennessee, on September 5, 1924. She was the wife of the late Reverend Warren G. Beavers for 65 years and transitioned three years to the day of his death. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Pearl Potter; three brothers, Robert, Clyde and Edd Potter. Survivors include her daughter, Judith (Ron) Hughes, Chattanooga; three sons, Jerry (Dolores) Beavers, Harold Beavers, and Tom Beavers, all of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren, David (Katie) Reynolds, Chris (Melisa) Beavers, Adam Beavers, Brook (Ryan) Phillips, Micah Hughes and Wyatt Beavers; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Chase, Bryce, Cassie Reynolds, and Mollie Beavers; two sisters, her twin, Ola Roddy, Dayton, Tennessee, and Katherine (Clay)Porter, Spring City, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, July, 17, 2011 at the Daisy Church of God with Bishops Jewel Travis and Sam Phillips along with Reverend Estle Sanders officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
